On June 8, 2022, President Biden signed into law a two-year extension of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). The extension was among other nine bills the president signed, most of which focused on military veterans. The RECA program was originally set to expire on July 10, 2022, and now its sunset has been avoided.
